Landscape Maintenance
MULCHING
Fresh mulch not only makes your property look its best—it also supports the health of your landscape by improving the soil’s ability to retain moisture and acting as a barrier to control weeds. We apply an even spread of double-ground dyed hardwood mulch each spring. In addition, we provide trenching of plant bed lines and tree rings to contain the mulch, and cleanup services after application.
The best time to control weeds is before they appear. We apply our pre-emergent weed control service during the mulching process to kill weeds as they germinate from seeds. Larger weeds or those that escape treatment are controlled through targeted spraying or hand removal.
PAVEMENT WEED CONTROL
Our crews are always on the lookout for weeds, even in pavement and hardscape areas. We use chemical treatment to control these types of weeds when they first sprout and to inhibit regrowth.
Beautiful year round landscaping makes an important positive impression on visitors, tenants and employees. You can count on Villwocks landscape maintenance crews to give your property the reputation of quality. Our team provides the expertise necessary to care for your turf, trees, shrubs, and plants - providing a natural environment that enhances the appeal of all of your properties. Our property management service team will provide you with professional services within a schedule that you can rely on - leaving you with precious time and resources to devote to the many other challenges of living your life.
Landscaping is a year-round job, but there are unique activities associated with each of the seasons.
Spring Cleanup
Our fall and winter preparatory work will pay off in the Spring as your landscape flourishes. A spring cleanup will remove any remnants of winter and get things ready for the growing season ahead.
Fall Cleanup
The months of October and November are the time for removal of fallen leaves, winterizing your irrigation system and making additional seasonal preparations.
Winter Cutbacks
The best time to prepare plants for spring growth is during late winter. Your dedicated Account Manager will advise you on the right pruning services for your property, which may include selective rejuvenation pruning and cutting back perennials.
Turf care and maintenance is a comprehensive process designed to give your lawn areas a vibrant and healthy look. It includes mowing at the right height of cut with proper equipment, fertilization, weed control, pest and disease control and, in some cases, aeration and over-seeding.
That flawlessly striped turf is not a given but results from meticulous care. Our landscape professionals will assess your turf type, environmental conditions, and other site-specific factors, to guarantee a neat and well-groomed appearance. We typically mow every seven days during the growing season, but the frequency will vary depending on weather conditions. Our mowing services include:
- Trash and debris removal prior to mowing
- Neat edging along curbs, walkways, and bed lines
- Careful trimming around trees, light poles, fence lines, and other objects
- Thorough clearing of sidewalks, curbs, and streets of clippings resulting from mowing and edging.
- Devotion to working safely and respecting people and properties
Fertilization and Pest Control
This is our way of giving Mother Nature a helping hand. Your dedicated Account Manager will assess your soil conditions, expectations, needs and budget to create a program that will ensure plant health. Your custom program will reflect the seasons.
Aeration & Over-seeding
Aeration and over-seeding keep the soil from becoming compacted over time due to rainfall, root growth and traffic. Your dedicated Account Manager will assess your needs and recommend an approach suited to your budget and property. We recommend aeration services between mid-August to the end of September, to bring air and nutrients to soil and encourage vigorous spring growth.
Insect & Disease Control
Our landscape professionals perform weekly inspections to identify potential issues before they get out of control. We will always inform you as soon as we discover a problem and have a recommended action plan.
