Position Overview

Villwocks Outdoor Living is seeking an experienced and dependable Landscape Maintenance Foreman to lead a crew in maintaining residential and commercial properties throughout Southwest Michigan.

The ideal candidate is a motivated, hands-on leader who takes pride in delivering high-quality work, maintaining a safe and productive job site, and ensuring landscape maintenance projects are completed efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.

Reports To: Maintenance Director

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Develop and maintain professional relationships with property owners and account managers.

2. Maintain and enforce safety standards on all job sites.

3. Coordinate with the Maintenance Director to schedule necessary materials, equipment, and resources.

4. Ensure landscape maintenance work is completed to established quality standards within budgeted labor hours.

5. Train and develop crew members to promote safe, efficient, and high-quality work.

6. Maintain and submit accurate daily job records and required documentation.

7. Work independently with minimal supervision, using professional knowledge and experience to maintain client landscapes.

8. Safely operate landscape maintenance equipment in accordance with company safety standards and manufacturer guidelines. Train crew members in proper equipment operation.

9. Read, interpret, and implement landscape maintenance contract requirements.

10. Follow all policies and procedures outlined in the Villwocks Outdoor Living Employee Handbook.

11. Assist with recruiting and developing employees as needed.

Required Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in landscape maintenance or commercial lawn mowing.

• Valid driver's license.

• At least 1 year of leadership experience.

• Strong customer service and communication skills.

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and lead a crew effectively.

• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

• Professional demeanor in appearance, communication, and conduct.

• Willingness to occasionally work in poor weather conditions.
