Join our vibrant team as a Garden Center / Outside Nursery Associate specializing in garden and outdoor living products. This dynamic, hands-on role combines a passion for gardening, landscaping, and horticulture with a strong commitment to exceptional customer service.

In addition to assisting customers, this role involves merchandising, stocking, and maintaining our outdoor nursery and garden center areas. Your enthusiasm, teamwork, and willingness to step in wherever needed will help create a welcoming environment that inspires customers to bring their outdoor visions to life. This position is ideal for energetic individuals who enjoy working outdoors and are eager to grow their retail and horticultural skills in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with plant selection, loading, and general garden center needs

• Handle, move, and lift materials weighing 75 lbs or more safely and consistently

• Work outdoors in all safe weather conditions, including heat, cold, and light precipitation

• Receive, unload, and organize plant material, trees, shrubs, soil, and hardgoods

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the nursery, displays, and sales areas

• Operate and assist with heavy equipment and machinery (a plus)

• Support seasonal setup, merchandising, and tear-down

• Step in to assist teammates and other departments as needed

 

Experience

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required.

• Knowledge of plants, shrubs, and trees is a plus (training available)

• Ability to lift 75 lbs or more and perform physical tasks throughout the shift

• Comfortable working outside in varying safe weather conditions

• Open availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and team-first mindset

• Willingness to learn, adapt, and take initiative wherever needed

• Experience handling equipment or machinery is a plus

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
